Leave in low season. Air-fares are usually seasonal. Though what is classed
as low season will vary from airline to airline and from destination to
destination, July, August and most of December will generally fall in
high season.
The good news is that you don't always have to pay more for your ticket
to get somewhere at the best time for example, you will find excellent
fares to India departing during the British winter months when the weather
there is glorious. You will pay much more to travel there in July and
August when most of the country is being rained on or is unbearably hot
and humid !

If you do want to travel at busy times of the year, the earlier you book
the less you will pay.
Airline reservations can be made up to 11 months in advance. The best
deals for travel over the Christmas / New Year period get booked up
in the preceding January and February.

Book your ticket with a travel agency that specialises in dealing with
the kind of trip you are planning and only employs consultants who have
had years of experience in the industry.
By dealing with someone who only books the kind of trip you are doing
you will save your own time and be sure to get the best deal for you.
Travel Nation is not an 'anything / anywhere' type of travel agency
- we specialise in putting together tailor made round the world itineraries
and adventure tours. If this is the type of trip you are planning on
doing, you have found the right company.
