World Discovery Plus tickets use the following airlines :

Qantas, British Airways, Air Pacific, Cathay Pacific and Australian Airlines. Tickets are valid for trips of up to one year.

Whilst getting the most out of a World Discovery Plus ticket is a complex process, the 2 main rules on this ticket are easy to understand :

- Maximum 29,000 miles (though it is possible to purchase additional miles)
- Maximum 7 stops

The advantages of the World Discovery ticket are :

1 - Up to 3 domestic flights in Australia and up to 2 domestic flights in New Zealand

2 - Same day transfers don't count as stops - e.g. though it is not possible to get from Bangkok to Brisbane in one flight on this ticket, if two connecting flights are booked, the connection point doesn't count as a stop.

3 - It is possible to travel out to and back from Australia / New Zealand in any combination of four geographical directions : via Asia, Africa, North America or South America.

4 - While you are travelling, if you change your plans change, the ticket can be re-routed for a fee of £50 - e.g. a London - Africa - Australia - South America - London route can be changed in Australia to return via South East Asia.

5 - It is possible to leave and return from most regional airports in the UK for an extra £55.

6 - Excellent value for money - fares start at just £887 + taxes.
